Sprinkle Irrigation
Irrigation : Irrigation is the artificial application of water to land in carrying out various agricultural activities. Rain water always is not sufficient for agricultural crops, hence irrigation is carried out to assist the smooth growing of agricultural crops.

The major types of irrigation are:
1.     Surface irrigation
2.     Sub surface irrigation
3.     Drip irrigation
4.     Sprinkler irrigation.

Sprinkler irrigation:
It is one of the modern and effective methods of irrigation. In this method water is distributed through pipelines that spray the water from above onto the crop and land. For sprinkler irrigation in Nepal, farmers normally use bamboo or polythene pipe. This method is popular from local level to agricultural farm.

Advantages of sprinkler irrigation:
1.     It is suitable for irrigation of crops where the plant are in high density.
2.     Suitable for majority of soil types.
3.     Proper distribution of water.
4.     Saves water
5.     Mobility of system
6.     Less problem of clogging
7.     Also applicable to areas located at higher altitude.
